Can I have your recipe for the best stew ever?
I love to make crockpot Oxtail or Beef shank stew. I really dont have any recipe. I lightly season the meat with salt, pepper & balsamic vinegar and let stand for about 15 minutes. Then in a pan, brown the meat & place in the crock pot. The roughcut veggies are just lightly tossed in the same pan to help bring the natural sugars up then lightly dowse with a drinkable wine - red, white or whatever you drink - then pour over the meat in the crockpot. Then turn on the pot. I add some can beef stock, chicken stock and a little more wine. I cook on low/medium over night. I like to make rice in a rice cooker before serving the next day. There are better ways but this is very easy for me & the wife. Conan also likes a taste.
